Yes, I blew off posting last week. I was (and still am, in many ways) tired, especially but not only because of time change weekend. I read that the Senate voted to make Daylight Standard Time permanent (again; it was made permanent once back in the 40s? I think?), and while I love the idea of not changing the clocks twice I year , I do think they should have fallen back once more and made Daylight Saving Time the permanent choice due to the timing of sunrise/sunset throughout the country. Ah well , not my circus and not my monkeys, as they say.
I got 2400 words yesterday on a short story that needs to be turned in *today* for a workshop I’m taking. I’d thought I already had a story in the trunk that fit the criteria, but that turned out not to be the case, and I only realized that on Friday, so here I am, writing a short story in two days.
Which is why this is a short entry. I’m posting it, doing a quick check of email, and then diving back into the story (tentatively titled, “Same Time Last Year”).
